Yahweh’s Messianic Fellowship

This organization is very typical of the Sacred Name Movement and is best illustrated by their opening statement in their Statement of Beliefs.

"Our group is made up of individuals with different ideas about many things. We decided that we needed a "statement of belief" in order to let people know where we are coming from. This was an interesting task due to our different views on peripheral doctrines. What follows is our best effort to put on paper some of the key beliefs we hold in common. If you have any questions or comments about any of the listed items please do not hesitate to let us know. We endeavor to grow in knowledge and love whenever possible. Words are a poor medium to express what is in the heart. I hope that we have done well."

They cite that they are a group of individuals with different ideas about many things and hold differing views on doctrines. However they list a number of beliefs that one must assume is the “core” of doctrines where they do find some common ground.

One of the first things that literally jumps off the page in their opening statement is this; "Words are a poor medium to express what is in the heart." My thought was just how did Almighty Yahweh communicate with the human race? WORDS! Words written down and called, the Bible!

The next point that comes up is this, one should be asking, what then is the basis for calling the organization a "fellowship"? Where do you find that in the Bible?

I Cor. 10:15-22 describes how we are to have a "fellowship" with our Savior Yahshua the Messiah. The word used here is communion. In the Greek of the Strong’s Concordance it is in Greek #2842. koinonia, koy-nohn-ee'-ah; from G2844; partnership, i.e. (lit.) participation, or (social) intercourse, or (pecuniary) benefaction:--(to) communicate (-ation), communion, (contri-), distribution, fellowship.

Paul warns the Corinthian Assembly not to be associated with those who are in darkness. There can be no communion with them. The word “Koinonia” (fellowship) is used here also. There must be a separation between those who will be ordered and direct their lives by the Word and those who would continue to walk in darkness.II Cor. 6:14-18

If they (Yahweh’s Messianic Fellowship) are of differing opinions on doctrines (even “peripheral” ones), they cannot be the one true body of the Messiah but rather a wolf (or wolves) in sheep's clothing. This is clear from the passage found in I Cor. 1:10-13.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

For it has been signified to me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I mean, that each one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cepha; and I of the Messiah. Is the Messiah divided? Was Paul impaled for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul? “

Paul tells us that those in the body of the Messiah are going to be of the same mind and have the same  judgment and there will be unity rather than divisions. 1 Cor.1:10.  He then draws on the illustration of the physical body of the Messiah not being broken (as not a bone of him is broken) or divided in the Passover he fulfilled (as the lamb of Yahweh) just as the lamb back in Egypt was not cut up (divided) but roasted whole. Exodus 12:9

Romans 15:5 states again that we are to be of the same mind with one another according to our savior Yahshua. Someone once asked me, "can’t  we have our own opinions?" Yes, I said, unless it comes to the Bible and then we must be all of the same mind. Amos 3:3

Of course one of the scriptures that really burns the Sacred Name groups is found in Eph. 4:4-6.

"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Master, one faith, one baptism, on El and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all."

The doctrine of a single, unified body of believers functioning under one Spirit from Father Yahweh and under one singular authority is just more Bible than they can handle. It would mean for them, that each one would have to give up his or her pet doctrine'(s) and yield to the Word of Yahweh exclusively. Yahweh does not require us to be in agreement with Him on only “peripheral doctrines” but he commands us to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh (Deut 8:3). Matt 4:4.

Do you believe in the “once saved always saved” doctrine?  Such a fallacy is in their Statement of Beliefs, as they believe in being “eternally redeemed” through Yahshua’s (they say the corrupted form Y’shua or Yeshua) shed blood. Remember Heb 10:26 shows that by willfully sinning you can go beyond the point where the blood of Yahshua covers your sin. The purchase price for your slavery to sin no longer applies, as you are once again a slave to sin (Rom 6:15-16). (Remember, you can be blotted out of the lamb's book of life!)

As a third witness against this organization (their own words already being witness enough against themselves) is their statement on how the original names found in the Scriptures are Yahweh and (as the erroneously report) Y’shua which should be properly transliterated as Yahshua, and SHOULD be used. In light of Acts 4:12 which excludes all other names (including Y’shua), they fail again to submit to the Word. Exodus 23:13, Yahshua (Joshua) 23:7 show it is a violation of Torah law to even speak the names of other elohim (mighty ones) or idols.

There are just too many false doctrines in their Statement of Beliefs to deal with in just a short article. Certainly there are enough witnesses for the NO lot to fall on Yahweh’s Messianic Fellowship. Be careful not to trust your salvation to those who are willing to compromise the truth of Yahweh's Word for the sake of a loose association. Consider the warning we are given by our Savior in John 10:1-16. The sheep listen to and follow the good shepherd and will flee from the wolf.

Therefore Doc judges these people to be in serious false doctrine and you should be aware of this organization!

Judging by Urim and Thummim this group fails the test!

And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; Elah hath numbered your kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; You art weighed in the balances, and are found wanting. Daniel 5:25-27
