"Sanctify them in the truth: your word is truth." John 17:17

In part one of this series we invited the reader to obtain a copy of the Bible wherein the Sacred Names have been restored to their original positions in the texts. You can obtain a copy of this particular item for around twenty dollars US funds from:   TSS Information P.O. Box C Bethel, PA 19507. This will provide you with the primary research tool that will be necessary to discover exactly what the Heavenly Father requires of you to obtain salvation. One of the readers of part one, wanted me to include information on the distinguishing characteristics of groups that are actually wolves in sheep's clothing from the group with good intentions. Or, how can you tell the difference? Well, I must say he is running a little ahead of me on this and I would like to ask his patience as this series unfolds.

Just where did the name of Yahweh begin to be recently used in America once again? Research reveals in the year 1857, a  book was written by Alexander MacWhorter called "the Memorial Name or Yahveh Ch--st" (MacWhorter, Alexander, The Memorial Name, or Yaveh Ch--st,) (Copyright 1857 Yale University) (I don't use the pagan names for Messiah so I dashed, dashed it here.)  The historical timeline reveals that there was an attempted  restoration movement of the scared name, prophecy and eschatological fulfillment. This happened both in America and abroad in Europe by religiously persuaded individuals. Remember the infamous dating of Ellen G. White's organization of October 22, 1844? This dating happened during this same restoration time period!

Apostate Sabbathkeepers "howling in agony"

Sabbatarians are given a very solemn warning through a different Ellen G. White vision:

Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, "Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting." I asked who this company were. The angel said, "These are they who have once kept the Sabbath and have given it up." I heard them cry with a loud voice, "We have believed in Thy coming, and taught it with energy." And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet -- trodden the Sabbath underfoot -- and that was why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting (Early Writings, p. 37).

Dear reader, if you are a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), remember do not be afraid of what any false prophet says (Deut. 18:22), including EGW.

According to the General Index of Early Writings, the people in EGW's vision who were howling in agony were Apostate Sabbathkeepers (p. 307). How convenient to have such a vision that could prevent other Adventists from leaving their group as occurred after "The Disappointment" of Oct. 22, 1844:

Almost immediately following the disappointment of October 22, many believers and ministers who had associated themselves with the Advent message dropped away (Early Writings, p. XV)

What EGW called a "disappointment" the Bible calls a false prophecy! (William Miller's false prophecy about the [Messiah's] return on 10-22-1844 indicts him too.)

William Miller Rejected SDA Sabbath Teaching!

Ellen G. White was not consistent with her own vision though, for even William Miller turned from keeping the Sabbath, yet she said he would not be held responsible and upon his death entered the heavenly Canaan:

At the time of the disappointment on October 22, 1844, Miller was worn and ill. He depended largely on his younger associates who stood with him in proclaiming the Advent message. They led him to reject the Sabbath truth as it came to his attention soon after the Disappointment. For this they, and not William Miller, will be held responsible (Early Writings, p. 303).

So also, I saw that William Miller erred as he was soon to enter the heavenly Canaan, in suffering his influence to go against the truth (Early Writings, p. 258).

This was supposed to be the year when Messiah was to return to earth. However, this failed to occur. And this proved to be a false prophecy.

While it does appear that something was happening during the 1800's, the exact signs did not accompany those preceding the true Messiah, Yahshua. Another individual, was Hebrew scholar, F. L. Chapell, who delivered Six Lectures, on NAMES OF THE DEITY. Dr. Chapell was Resident Instructor of the A. J. Gordon Missionary Training College, Boston, Massachusetts around 1900 and was connected to James Martin Gray and the following is found concerning Dr. Chapell

Gray's interest in eschatology is traceable to the first American Prophetic Conference held in the Protestant Episcopal Ch--ch of the Holy Trinity, New York City, 1878. The consensus was decidedly pre-millennial. He was convinced of the truth of it. Through his own study of the Bible, along with intercourse with Moody, Gordon, F. L. Chapell and many other pre-millennialists at Northfield, including C. I. Scofield, Gray adopted a pre-millennial, dispensational, pre-tribulation interpretation of Scripture. Gray is identified as follows:

Reformed Episcopal clergyman, author, editor, educator, Bible teacher, first dean and first president of Moody Bible Institute, Gray (1851-1935) played a key role in the fundamentalist movement of the 1920s and in the promotion and establishment of dispensational pre-millennial theology.

Judging by Urim and Thummim this group fails the test!

And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; Elah hath numbered your kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; You art weighed in the balances, and are found wanting. Daniel 5:25-27

Therefore Hawke judges these people to be in serious false doctrine and you should beware of this organization!

What we are seeing in the above references, are rising interests in eschatology.

es·cha·tol·o·gy (ĕs'kə-tŏl'ə-jē)

  1. The branch of theology that is concerned with the end of the world or of humankind.

  2. A belief or a doctrine concerning the ultimate or final things, such as death, the destiny of humanity, the Second Coming, or the Last Judgment.

(Definition provided in case you are interested.)

It would appear that bible students of the 1800's and early 1900's were interested in the fulfillment of bible prophecy. However, not all signs were pointing to Messiah's return. There were many things yet to come before that great advent would occur.

Now, let us return to the subject of this article, which is "Looking For Truth?" How can you possibly tell the difference between all of the various groups using Yahweh's name? Yes, this can be difficult to decipher considering the number of groups calling themselves by Yahweh's name and claiming to have the source of all truth! Let us use the process of elimination, shall we?

I hope you have obtained the copy that I mentioned in part one and again here in part two. You MUST read entirely through this edition before making any decisions concerning which group you will align yourself with.

Let's start slow here! Ok, some Sacred Name groups using Yahweh's name advocate that there are many variations of Almighty Yahweh's name. Some of these various forms are: IHVH, JHVH, JHWH, YHVH AND YHWH, JAHAVEH, JAHVAH, JAHVE, JAHVEH, YAHVE, YAHVEH, YAHWE, YAHWEH to name a few! So! How do we arrive at the one true acceptable name?

Research has shown that the tetragrammaton (Definition below) YHWH,

Tet·ra·gram·ma·ton (tĕt'rə-grăm'ə-tŏn'

The four Hebrew letters usually transliterated as YHWH  used as a biblical proper name for G-d.

[Middle English Tetragramaton, from Greek tetragrammaton, four-letter word, from neuter of tetragrammatos, four-lettered : tetra-, tetra- + gramma, grammat-, letter.]

is best transliterated,

trans·lit·er·ate (trăns-lĭt'ə-rāt', trănz-)
tr.v., -at·ed, -at·ing, -ates.

To represent (letters or words) in the corresponding characters of another alphabet

(brought across from one language to another language) as Yahweh!

Now we have something to work with! First you must recognize the name of Yahweh in its' exact form and pronunciation! No other name will substitute for this given Memorial.

And Elohim  said moreover unto Moses, In this manner  you shall say unto the children of Israel, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim  of Isaac, and the  Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Exodus 3:15

Well we have arrived at the end of part two. Next in part three I will show some of the nominal Sacred Name doctrines (teachings) that just do not line up with the Sacred Writings. One is doctrinal unity!
